If you’d like to run like a gazelle, all you need is a whopping great big lion to chase you down the road. If you want motivation like that, then just start out at the front line of a big city race of tens of thousand runners. The gun goes off and every gazelle in the front line runs for their life as the herd chases them down. One stumble and fall and the next thing they will feel is the trampling of tens of thousands of dollars worth of expensive running shoes that triumph by running straight over their humiliated heads. Running like a gazelle involves running with that sort of fear.

Are you feeling a little stale about running at the moment? Is it hard to remember what is so exciting about pushing yourself physically? This happens to all of us at some time. Sometimes it is because of an end of season back-off in training, or maybe because it is because of overtraining or an injury. Whatever the cause, at some stage in your running, it is inevitable that you will find a temporary drop in your normal motivation.

There are any number of ways to re-kindle your motivation, but the easiest I can think of is to return to one of the basic benefits of running.

When it comes to all the rage extreme sports in our time, it has to be BMX games. It is one of the toughest form of cycling, no wonder it is next to some of the other extreme sports like skateboarding and sport bike stunting. As for the bicycles, they are so designed to counter the extremity of this particular sport. Going to some of the details you will find that these bikes normally have two, 20-inch wheels. And these wheels when compared to those of the conventional bikes are about 6 to 7 inches smaller whatsoever.

I’m taking a break from writing about “writing”. The reason: Barbaro. Some people have actually said, “Who cares about a horse with a gimpy leg?” If you are within reach of me, you better run. I’ve been around horses all my life and there is no nobler creature on earth than a horse.

“Bobby” (Barbaro’s stable name) epitomized what we, as humans, can only dream to achieve. He was strong and brave and honest; a champion of champions. He gave 150% of his very being, doing whatever was asked of him, and all he asked for in return were regular feedings of hay and grain with a possible carrot or two at the end of the day.

Nascar A Scam?
By Jerry Lemke

Have you noticed a trend in Nascar lately? Seems that the higher the sponsorship dollars, the better the tendency for that team to win. Don’t be fooled, nascar IS a business and IS focused on sponsorship, not racing. Maybe racing’s equivalent to wrestling’s ”for entertainment purposes only” motto applies here, as some teams seem to have large advantages. It would then make sense to keep all of your sponsors happy with an equalized amount of airtime so that everyone important enough is happy. Nascar works hard to “equalize” the playing field.

Clint Bowyer, who joined nascar racing less than four years back, has managed to become one of the most popular racing champions in the country. Born in 1979, Bowyer stated racing in the motocross at the young age of five. Over a period of eight years, till the age of thirteen, Bowyer managed to take home more than 200 titles, championships and victories.

No NASCAR aficionado worth his or her salt would be a certified fan without a few items of NASCAR collectibles. Just like with any other sports, it has been the tradition of true blue fans to purchase souvenir items and collectibles for them to take home as a reminder of their love for the game. For racing fans, there is a wide array of NASCAR collectibles to choose from. If you are a die hard fan of a particular driver, you may want to have die-cast cars which are mini-replicas of the actual car that they drive. Aside from die-cast cars, you can also purchase NASCAR t-shirts, caps, race tickets, travel mugs, key chains, watches, magnets – the list goes on and on!
