Every time that I read an article about marathon training I see something pertaining to the longest run in a marathon plan. Why is there so much controversy?

Every marathon runner or coach has his or her own theory about the longest run during marathon training. Some argue that 20 miles in long enough. Others argue running up to 30 miles. And some even say that 15 miles is long enough. Which theory is correct?

In the last article I talked to you about knowing the difference between the two types of injuries in cheerleading. Now we are going to focus on the preventable injuries type. We all know what these types are. However, how do we prevent these injuries from occurring?

The first step is to know your team. This is hands down the best rule of thumb when talking about safety. Most people do not take enough time in analyzing their team and teammates. For example, do you assess your teams current skill level and ability? Do you know exactly who your strong spotters (the people who insure the safety of the participant) are? Because you should know the answers to these questions. Without this knowledge you are doomed to have preventable injuries happen.

Antique German Bicycles
By Sarah Freeland

Germans can be credited with inventing one of the precursors to the bicycle. The German Baron Karl Drais von Sauerbronn invented the Laufmaschin, which translated to English means the “running machine.” This invention looked like a bicycle without pedals and gears. Kind of like an adult sized push car with two wheels instead of four. This invention was displayed in Paris during April of 1818.

An old-fashioned airboat ride is one of the best ways to see the rivers and marshes of areas like the Florida Everglades – as scenic a place as you could ever hope to visit. Airboats are a long-established part of the scenery, and there’s nothing quite like hopping on to one to get a tour round the wildlife and scenery of these beautiful waterways. An airboat ride is a thrill for visitors of all ages.

China has always held its own when it comes to martial arts. In fact, most consider china to be the pioneers in this field. They have a whole range of styles and forms in this arena and some that are not so well known but just as good. The most commonly known ones are Kung Fu and Tai Chi. But there are others like Hsing-I and the Shaolin style. China has been regarded as the founder of the martial arts for centuries now and they have brought about the concept of martial arts as a very dominant means of self defense, which ironically also teaches you how to live peacefully. Japan does have its own merit in this field but China is given the status of founder nation by most.

Airsoft and paintball are pretty similar sports, and they can be played exactly the same way. There are a few key differences, such as that airsoft is used more in military and law enforcement reenactments than paintball. In this sense, gameplay can differ, but people use paintball guns for reenactments as well (just not as often). If you look at the big picture, the games aren’t that different, but sometimes strategy and tactics must be changed depending on the specs of your and your opponent’s gun.

You are in need of loans without collateral and you think it is easy. You go through your credit report and find what? Bad credit! Yes bad credit. You go through questions like how, when where. Well, settle down – you have bad credit. You can’t rub it off. All you can do is play along until you abandon it for good credit. You still have a very feasible option called unsecured loan for bad credit.

When it comes to a sport that provides lots of family fun, few can match a quick trip to a local bowling alley. Although it might take years to reach “pro” status, almost anyone of any age can play this game. The game can be altered for young children and it is one even teens tend to enjoy, as well.

There are plenty of reasons why a family trip to a bowling alley can be a great idea. They include:

Choosing the right boat usually takes a great deal of time and patience, so it’s wise to also spend time researching the many boat covers that can be used on your boat. The exciting news is that good boat covers will extend the life of your boat. You can find these covers at several different prices, but be aware that price does not always indicate quality.

It is important to understand what differentiates high quality boat covers from cheaper imitations. Quality, not price, should be your priority. First, you must decide whether you want a custom boat cover or a universal boat cover.

Built To Ride

From the moment your tires hit the trail you are at dirt’s mercy. The terrain is imperfect and your bike and body are constantly pitched to and fro while moving at speed. It is from this environment that you must balance, push, pull, and sprint…with efficiency.

Resistance training for mountain bikers is necessary because it can enhance performance, reduce injuries, correct muscle imbalances and increase the overall enjoyment of riding. The suggested exercises were designed by observing riders’ movements and body position on a bike. Specific areas that are subject to pattern overload (repetitive movements/positions) and dysfunction were looked at, and two goals were developed: core and joint stability, and muscle endurance.
